Yupo to introduce synthetic paper substrates at Xeikon Café Packaging Innovations 2017

Yupo will be introducing three tree-free synthetic paper substrates at the Xeikon Café Packaging Innovations 2017.

The substrates are claimed to be 100% recyclable, waterproof and chemical resistant with properties offering solutions for a range of digital label and packaging applications.

They can be used for in-mould labelling, promotional advertising, and food label applications that are tested and qualified for the Xeikon 3000 Series of digital label presses.

Fully recyclable decoration solutions with no liner or liner waste, which does not use adhesive glue also available in opaque, clear and metallic versions.

One of the products, YupoTako is a polypropylene white film. It can stick to flat surfaces without adhesive and prevail in both indoor and outdoor environments.

The product is claimed to be easy in handling and application with endless design possibilities in promotional advertising.

It can also be used in producing children’s toys, mobile phones, electronic devices and more.

Yupo FOOD FDR product range is claimed to be free of toxins, heavy metals with no softening agents. It is suited in conditions of direct food contact and adheres to European regulations that ensure product suitability and compliance.

The products are available in a variety of grades, and combined with the benefits of digital in smaller print runs and customized pieces, YUPO papers provide outstanding durability, are dimensionally stable for superior ink adhesion, and guarantee bright and colourful printing.
