UPM Raflatac expands durables labeling range

PKBR Staff Writer Published 22 February 2012

UPM Raflatac, part of UPM's engineered materials business group has launched a new addition to the durables labeling range. Compared to the heat-resistant PET Matt White 60, the new top-coated polyester face PET Matt White TC 50 offers a fit-for-purpose solution in many applications.

According to UPM, the top-coat assures good thermal transfer print results and scratch resistance with compatible TTR ribbons.

PET Matt White TC 50 is available with general purpose adhesives and special adhesives for applications where higher levels of adhesion and chemical and heat resistance are needed.

PET Matt and other products for durables labeling are available through the company's Small Roll Service, UPM noted.

With the continued development of durable label materials including white, clear and silver PET faces, PSA overlaminating films, PPs and tear-resistant materials, the company plans to bring more choice to the market.
