Khemka Containers breaks ground on new factory in Andhra Pradesh, India

Paper printing and packaging firm Khemka Containers has broken ground on a new production plant in Sri City in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.


The company is planning to invest close to Rs1bn ($14.7m) in the facility, which is expected to create more than 200 jobs, according to media sources.

Upon completion in October this year, the plant will produce corrugated boxes, mono cartons and printed display items.

Sri City managing director Ravindranath Sannareddy was quoted by webindia123 as saying: "I welcome yet another new client to Sri City. KCL's products are widely used in a wide range of industries across food & beverage, FMCG, as well as engineering and allied fields, and their presence in Sri City will definitely be an added advantage for most industries located here."

Khemka Containers currently operates four production plants in the country. It supplies packaging products to clients across various sectors including food, consumer durables, home appliances, FMCG products, engineering goods and automotive components.

Cadbury, Pepsico, Tata, Godrej, Whirlpool are among Khemka Containers' prominent clients.

Khemka Containers claims to be certified for ISO 9001:2000 Standard by TUV Suddeutschland. The company said that it works in close co-ordination with the customers in order to provide high and user quality as well on time delivery.
