Imperial Dade acquires US firm Gulf Coast Paper

Imperial Dade, a distributor of disposable food service and janitorial supplies, has acquired US-based Gulf Coast Paper for an undisclosed sum.

Based in Victoria of Texas, Gulf Coast Paper distributes packaging products, as well as janitorial, sanitation and office supply products to its customers in the southeast Texas region.

Imperial Dade CEO Robert Tillis said: “Gulf Coast Paper’s history of excellence and commitment to service will fit well with the Imperial Dade platform. We enthusiastically welcome the Gulf Coast Paper team members to Imperial Dade and look forward to working together to further grow the business.”

The company supplies packaging products, including corrugated boxes, bubble wrap, corrugated rolls, corrugated sheets and pads, as well as foam packaging material.

Gulf Coast Paper also distributes packaging list envelops, pallet covers, poly bags, shipping tags, styro packaging material and spill control products.

In addition, the firm supplies tape, tape dispensers, twist ties, wrapping tissue, stretch film and pallet wrap products.

The company operates seven facilities, which covers the major metro areas of Austin, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Houston and San Antonio.

Gulf Coast Paper sales and marketing vice president Clay Dibble said: “Over the past 50 years, we have aimed to exceed our customers’ expectations. Our ability to do so will improve going forward under this new partnership.

In February this year, Imperial Dade acquired Sikes Paper & Chemical Supply, which is a distributor of sanitary products, equipment, and packaging to the customers in the Atlanta and North Georgia market areas.

In January same year, Imperial Dade acquired PCA Industrial & Paper Supplies, which is a distributor of paper products, janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment to the customers in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
