API Group to showcase luxury packaging at Luxe Pack New York 2018

Published 07 May 2018

API Group is all set to showcase its sustainable and luxury packaging Transmet solution at the Luxe Pack 2918 event to be held from 16-17 May in New York City, US.

Transmet is API’s class-leading film-free laminate option for paperboard packaging, which has all the benefits of traditional metalized polyester cartonboard laminates, but without the film content, and is recyclable through normal waste streams. Transmet allows brands to reduce their environmental impact without compromising a premium design finish.

In addition to its green credentials, the benefits of Transmet also include a high level of gloss finish and no risk of delamination. It is flexible enough to ‘metalize’ thin paper without curling – making Transmet an effective solution across a wide range of applications.

Using its global network to drive sustainability in the packaging industry, API has already seen a record number of Transmet sales this year.

API Group commercial director Richard Burhouse said: “We want to encourage brands world-wide to reduce their plastic usage and Luxe Pack New York is the perfect place to speak to international brand owners and show how our expertise can help them combine style and sustainability in their packaging.

“As a leader in this field, with unrivaled technology, experience, and capacity, we are extremely proud of our Transmet solution and are fully committed to continued development of packaging enhancement solutions that provide stand-out shelf appeal while being safer for the planet.”

API Group will also showcase its 2018/19 Trends Folio at the two-day show. An extension of last year’s Folio, API has identified the key creative trends for the luxury packaging industry, showcasing how an intelligent use of foils, laminates, and holograms can empower premium brands to capitalize on market changes in the coming year.
